Wrap up: Outcomes of the course

Our ICT course taught us plenty of new skills. Lessons were conducted in warm atmosphere by our teacher. I found out lots of new things for me during the lessons. For example, we created our portfolio, our blog. Now I know what is Wiki, I am aware of some new sites for improving four skills and online dictionaries. We had to do the works which we had never imagined before, because of this course. We were made create a cartoon with my groupmates. It wasn't all, at the end of semestr we successfully finished "Dubbing" also. According to task, any uzbek or russian cartoon or movie should be translated into english and dubbed by ourselves. I surely say that it was enjoyable process. Now I am thankful to my teacher for giving us a chance to have such kind of memories.

Pros and cons of different social media applications

Today the world is developing day by day. In this situation we have no right to be unaware of social media applications. They are demand of period. We have to use them every day. If you can utilise the applications for taking fruitful information, they play a good role in your life. Everything depends on ourselves. However, we should recognise their bad affects also. In case of applying the apps for wrong ways, they may easily poison people's life. The huge harm of apps is that they steal our time, even though giving significant news. I notice that I am also spending much more time for these apps every day. Unfortunately, we don't want to understand it.

How useful/effective are online self-assesment tests

The best side of online self-assesment tests is that you can define your real knowledge with the help of them. Because you have to do it yourself without copying anything. It will save your time and money. Also answers don't make you wait long. You can check your knowledge without teachers. If our teacher tests us, it takes more time. But through online testing we will be aware of our results within one or two minutes. Unless there will be some kind of internet problems, thi is the best way for you to assess your knowledge. At the end I should mention taking into account its prize.

The best project I made

During our academic year we were given lots of project works. We acquainted with different people and spheres because of them. We had various themes for every month and project works for every theme. But the best of them was first one, which we had to take an interwu from tourists. It was amazing for me not only for being the first one, but also the most unusual. I really enjoyed the process. Because I had never spoken to foreign people till that day. Stopping tourists on the way and asking their opinions about something was very interesting. Their thoughts are not the same as ours. The reasons of this are their culture and attitudes. Therefore, the opinions, said by them always attracted me.

My test taking strategies

I passed the university three times. During  this three years I prepared for test taking very long and used different strategies. Every year we worked on a lot of tests. Although I have watched a great deal of them, it was very stressed and nervous during test process. Especially different noices interrupts you. But you shouldn't pay attention to them. Using some strategies helps to save your time and work effectively. They are different, you can choose any of them which suits you. But if you haven't enough information or don't read necessary literatures, there is no use of strategies. Before solving, you should have some knowledge. If I tell you about my strategy, I always checked my answers from books, after the tests ended.

Critical analysis of online language learning resources

Today online learning is popular all around the world. It is the best way of having education without attending classes. We also use this system in our university. It is called "Moodle platform" . This system is assistance of teachers and students. Using "moodle platform" is convinient not only for teachers, but also for us. It is natural that it has disadvantages, but the system is helping us greatly. The system saves our time and has interesting tasks. During our lessons we tried working on the resources like Busuu, Duolingo, Memrise, Hellotalk and others. I am sure that they are very helpful in learning new languages. It is a chance spending time interesting and effectively, at the same time learning something.

Am I slow or fast reader?

Reading is my favourite occupation. It gives person a great chance to spend time interesting. Not everyone loves reading of course. But I like it very much. In my free time I can read how long I want. But at the lesson the time is limited. We should finish reading on time and do the exercises, such as true-false, multiple choice and others. How faster we read, the faster task will be completed. Therefore, the speed of reading has a role in our studies. I could clarified my reading speed according to tests results which were offered in our ICT book. I found lots of news through ICT. After being aware of these sites, I am checking my results every month.
